The invitations had been sent out; the link to YouTube made it easy for people to join; there was a simple structure to follow. On launch day it just made sense to carry out a test. This added a variable that we hadn't planned for... the link was for a single live stream event and now we'd used it for the test. At 5pm when people clicked on the link expecting to join the book launch live stream they were instead treated to a loop of the test stream!!
During the next 15 minutes, Jack managed to find and delete the test stream, share the new link as widely as possible... and at 5.15 with 14 people having somehow found us, we started. Except we had gone live at 5pm so 15 minutes of uncertainty was now out there. I reflected on what helped me to stay calm? When I looked at the smiling faces of friends and family on Zoom my thoughts were of love. My realisation, at a deeper and clearer level than previously, is that thoughts of love triumph uncertainty and fear every time. The source of that love is inside us all, and that's all we really need to know, irrespective of circumstance.
