Moving from comfort zone to inspired action
Linda gave some good advice very early on, she said "writing is the easy part, marketing will be the tough bit". She knows me well, I've never been one to put myself out there when it comes to marketing. Thankfully I know that it's our thinking that puts limits on our potential and it's not true. When I'm not thinking that I can't do it, guess what... I just do it. What has surprised me most is that I'm enjoying myself as I embrace the challenge of marketing. So what have I achieved so far? With a little help from my friends, in particular my amazingly talented son Jack and his creative, artistic girlfriend Josie, I now have:
- A logo that I love
- The beginnings of a mailing list and a newsletter concept
- A regular weekly blog post driving traffic to my website
- A method of selling the book via my website using Paypal
- A new pricing strategy and a special introductory offer available via my website
- A Facebook advertising campaign
- A method of encouraging book purchasers to stay in touch
- A collection of promotional podcast and video appearances
- A press release
I'm feeling inspired; what could you achieve if you knew that your thinking wasn't true and that you had an infinite source of creative energy at your disposal whenever you needed it?
